Similar to Universal Remotes, Control wallplates are capable of controlling your AV Equipment, as well as home automation products. With the more advanced control wallplates, it is possible to access music from a sound server and bring up album cover art and track names, then select it to play through the speakers.

Sonance manufacture a K2 control Wallplate. This wallplate is fully programable and can be used to control any device with an IR reciver. Macros can be programmed to allow you to press one button to turn on a whole system. This wallplate work well with the sonance DAB1, to control all the zones with the one keypad. Sonance have some simpler keypads that are mainly used for control of the Sonance DAB1 audio distribution amplifier.
